Tires and Auto Repair in Anoka, MN

Welcome to Wright Tire Service

On a cold day in the winter of 1975, Wright Tire Service opened its doors in Anoka at a gas station that was unable to survive in the tough economy at the time. Tom Wright, the owner, was in charge of the tire department (and everything else), we hired a top tech to work on alignments, tune-ups and deal with other mechanical issues. The first few months were difficult. But we were blessed and survived the first year. The business grew and we added four more bays with doors large enough to service motorhomes and other large vehicles and add a larger showroom. We added a few more employees, made it through a few crises (a couple big recalls, etc.) we were able to survive them all thanks to the Lord and by taking good care of our customers which to us means selling them the parts and products they need for a safe and better performing car and nothing more. We also added an outside salesman who helped us increase our sales to utility companies, national accounts and farmers.
We are still the same company we were in 1975, with the same philosophy of taking care of our customers in a way that would be honoring to the Lord and helpful to our customers. We are one of the few local tire businesses that is still locally owned and operated. Our tire sales people are experienced with over 100 years experience between six of us. Our techs are ASE certified one is a Master Tecnician. We aren't huge, but we are large enough to allow us to get the best price possible for our customers. We still often have people thank us for having the best price in town on tires and automotive service. Check out our coupons page for printable coupons. Check out our services page to see a full list of services we offer.
We are overwhelmed by the kindness of our customers and the grace and mercy of God for allowing us to continue to serve Him and our community in our business. We have continued the tradition Tom Sr. began early on, that of being open hours that are most convenient for our customers (Monday - Thursday 7 a.m. - 8 p.m., Friday 7 - 7 and Saturday 8-5, we are closed on Sundays). We are different than most tire stores in that we offer self-service gas, snacks, pop and we have added a coffee bar to our full service offering.
Are you looking for a service center that has the latest in diagnostic and tire equipment? Wright Tire Service is the right place. We have it all including a drive-on Biesbarth top-of-the-line alignment rack and tire machines that can easily handle most tire sizes and wheel configurations as well as precision tire balancing equipment. Our tire inventory is second to none at over $160,000. We still might not have a tire in stock, but don't worry - most tires are available at reasonable prices within 24 hours. Even hard to find sizes are often available quickly from the vast number of companies with which we deal. Browse our tire catalogs online or use our online vehicle fitment guide to find the best tire and wheel for your vehicle. Our name may not have "discount" in it but don't let that fool you. We were Anoka's original tire discounter and have continued to maintain that reputation today. All we ask is that you give us a try. We think you're going to say along with so many of our customers, "I love those guys!".
